Disagreement over slots in Atlantic City

I spotted this story in the news earlier and thought it might catch a few of your interests, so here it is, republished for your reading pleasure!
Basically, a 78 year old lady named Angela Domino hit the jackpot on a progressive slots machine (Atlantic City Spin Poker) in Atlantic City. According to Angela, when she hit the jackpot the machine announced she had won $86,000, but when a slots attendant came to help her sort out her winnings, they suggested she had only won $20,035. I say “only”, but you know what I mean, if you thought you had won over $50,000, you’d be dissapointed if someone suggested it was over half this amount. Anyway, the slots attendant suggested that another woman had triggered the jackpot in another casino, winning the $86,000 and when it came to Angela’s lucky spin, she bagged just $20,035.
As you can imagine, Angela isn’t exactly pleased about the situation, so she has taken IGT and Harrah’s Casino (where she was playing the game) to court, both sides have yet to reach an agreement, but the Casino Control Commission has determined that no violation of state gambling rules has occured. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what Angela is finally rewarded!
