Maryland slots debate rumbles on…

The Diamond Back Online, a Maryland based newspaper has reported that students should wade into the already turbulent slots debate as their votes could help decide whether slots are allowed in Maryland or not. Apparently, the vote directly affects them as $300 million from the $600 million slots revenue would be pumped directly into education. And seeing as Maryland’s university has financial problems at the moment, it seems like Maryland’s student union will urge students to vote in favor of the slots. In a poll on the website, 64% of Diamond Back readers have backed the slots proposal…but what do you think? If you live in Maryland or are just interested in the whole thing like me, then why not leave a comment explaining your views?
